Pdf Ô Rescuing the Gospel from the Gays à Justin Lee Justin Lee a gay man and devout Christian bridges the gaps between his faith and sexuality in this insightful and touching memoir As a teenager and young man Justin Lee felt deeply torn Nicknamed God Boy by his peers he knew that he was called to a life in the evangelical Christian ministry But Lee harbored a secret He als This book addresses the right brain and the left brain Lee want through his personal journey from a first person subjective perspective describing how he went through the discovery process that he's gay coming out to himself so to speak It's a tremendously personal emotional and experiential struggle given his conservative Christian roots for Lee to finally embrace his sexual orientationThe second half is left brain as Lee describes his investigatory process in finding out what the Bible really teaches His discovery is by no means definitive but revealing in that there it is difficult from the scripture alone to say definitely whether the Bible forbids homosexuality in general or homosexual exploitation The conclusion is that one needs to choose acceptance or condemnation for the homosexual based on one's own volition ie the Christian Bible does not necessarily condemns all homosexual acts as sinfulIt's a gut wrenching as well as joyous read as we travel through Lee's personal journey emotional experiential and spiritualI think it's a must read for those who wonder about the subject and seek to understand how to feel and think about what the Christian Bible really teaches about homosexuality
